For the very remarkable full-moon season of 2020, Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi would like to express heartfelt gratitude to all the heroes of the medical community for their tremendous contribution to the country through the special mooncake box.

On the outer box, we used artwork simulating such typical architecture of the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi.

Smaller boxes put inside the box are engraved with iconic symbols of what has been going on during 2020, such as Vietnam’s special repatriation flight, home delivery service, kitchen and front office ambassadors with masks on, along with some symbolic architectural corners of this long-established hotel.

Other than that, there is also a colorful poster with lively illustrations of Metropole’s staffs celebrating the dedication of all brave Vietnamese healthcare professionals.

Elegant shades of black and white are the main theme colors for this packaging design. These elementary colors not only demonstrate minimalism and modernism of the design but also make it stand out from stereotypical mooncake packages that to some extent, represents “The most remarkable mid-autumn”.

In terms of structure, we headed towards minimalism by refining and simplifying sophisticated details; yet, still make it an interesting design that amazes customers by using multiple layers.

The material being used for Metropole’s mooncake box is fine-art paper with special texture. Letterpress and copper foil printing techniques on its surface were to emphasize the line artwork.
